These terms are a legal agreement between you and Rust Games Australia Pty Ltd ("we," "us," "our") for using RemoteAccessApp: the RemoteAccessApp Agent, the RemoteAccessApp Console, the RemoteAccessApp.com website (including using your PCs from a web browser or iPhone), our account, relay and update servers, and any related features (together, "the Service").
By creating an account, installing the apps or using the Service, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. If you use RemoteAccessApp for a business or other organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organization; our Data Processing Agreement then also applies to the personal data we process for it.
1. What RemoteAccessApp is
RemoteAccessApp is a remote-access tool that works only with the knowledge of the people at the PCs it connects to. With it you can:
- see and control your PCs over the internet or your network, from the Console, a web browser or an iPhone;
- chat with the person at a PC, send and browse files, share the clipboard, hear the PC's sound and take screenshots;
- run commands on your PCs (Command Prompt or PowerShell), including one command on several PCs at once, and send the same input to several PCs at once;
- manage SSH, SFTP, FTP, Remote Desktop (RDP) and VNC connections;
- share chosen PCs and saved hosts with other people's accounts through Teams;
- on RemoteAccessApp Pro, let an AI assistant (currently Claude Code) use RemoteAccessApp for you (section 8).
Some of these are available only on RemoteAccessApp Pro. The features and limits of each plan (Free and Pro) are described on our website, RemoteAccessApp.com, and may change over time.
How consent works on the PC
- Ask to connect. Unless unattended access is on, the PC asks the person there to allow each session, and shows the Console nothing until they do. If an allowed session drops (for example a phone switching apps), the same Console may reconnect for about 10 minutes without asking again.
- Session banner. While a session is open, the PC shows a banner with a chat button. It can be made smaller but not closed. The person at the PC can switch off mouse and keyboard control at any time, or quit RemoteAccessApp.
- Unattended access lets you, and anyone you've shared the PC with through Teams, connect without anyone at the PC. It can only be turned on at the PC itself, by its user or with their agreement there. The banner still shows during every session, and while unattended access is on, your Consoles can also show a small, low-resolution preview of the PC's screen in their list of PCs.
These safeguards help, but they don't replace your own legal duties in section 3.
2. Your license to use RemoteAccessApp
- We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the RemoteAccessApp apps and the Service under these terms and within the limits of your plan.
- We (and our licensors) own RemoteAccessApp, including its software, design and brand. You get only the rights these terms give you.
- Some parts of RemoteAccessApp are open-source components provided under their own licenses. Those licenses apply to those components.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.
3. Permission, consent and the law: your responsibility
You may only use RemoteAccessApp on PCs and systems that you own, or that you have clear, informed permission to access from their owner and from anyone who uses them. This is the most important rule in these terms.
You're solely responsible for making sure your use of RemoteAccessApp is lawful. In particular, you must:
- Comply with all laws that apply to you and to the PCs you access, including privacy, data-protection, surveillance and monitoring, workplace and employment, telecommunications, computer-misuse and export-control laws.
- Get every consent and give every notice the law requires before you view a screen, record or capture anything (including screenshots), monitor someone, run commands, transfer files or share the clipboard or sound. This includes telling the people at a PC what you can see and do, and getting their agreement where needed.
- Only turn on unattended access where it's appropriate, with the agreement of the PC's owner and its users, and turn it off when it's no longer needed.
- Tell the people who use the PCs you manage that RemoteAccessApp stores some details about their PCs (see our Privacy Policy). For the people at those PCs, you, not us, decide how and why RemoteAccessApp is used.
Nothing in the Service (including the ask-to-connect prompt, the banner or unattended access) means we have checked that you have permission. We don't monitor your sessions and can't see what happens in them.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service, or help anyone else use it, to:
- access, view or control a PC or system without permission, or beyond the permission you've been given;
- monitor, track or record anyone secretly, or use RemoteAccessApp as stalkerware or spyware;
- hide, cover, bypass or interfere with the ask-to-connect prompt, the session banner, the view-only switch or any other safety or consent feature;
- carry out fraud, scams, fake "tech support," extortion, or theft of money, data or identity;
- spread malware, attack or scan systems, mine cryptocurrency on other people's PCs, or send spam;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights, or handle content that's illegal;
- overload, disrupt or abuse our servers or relay, including using the relay as a general-purpose proxy or tunnel, or for anything other than RemoteAccessApp sessions;
- create accounts automatically or in bulk, or get around the sign-up check, rate limits or plan limits;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify the apps (except where the law allows it despite this restriction), or tamper with or get around license checks, update signatures or plan limits;
- resell, rent, sublicense or share your account or license beyond what your plan allows, or offer the Service to others as your own;
- use RemoteAccessApp to control systems where a failure or delay could cause death, injury, or serious physical, environmental or financial harm (for example medical, emergency, aviation or industrial control systems).
5. Your account and your security
- You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent where you live if that's higher.
- Give us accurate details and a working email address, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password, license key and setup codes secret, and keep the PCs and devices you sign in on secure. Anyone with a current setup code (from "Add a PC") can add a PC to your account, and anyone signed in to your account can reach your PCs.
- You're responsible for everything done under your account, whether or not you authorized it, until you've told us it has been misused.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think your account, license key or a setup code has been misused.
- Your saved-password vault is encrypted with a key that comes from your account password. We can't read it, so we can't recover it if the password is lost or reset.
6. Teams
- An account owner can share chosen PCs and saved hosts with other people's accounts, by email address.
- Teams are part of RemoteAccessApp Pro: the owner and every member need an active Pro subscription. If anyone's Pro ends, what's shared with or by them pauses until it's active again.
- If you add people to your team, you're responsible for them: for choosing whom to add, for what you share with them, for what they do with that access, and for removing access when it's no longer needed.
- Team members must follow these terms too. Sharing a PC through Teams doesn't give anyone permission to access it under section 3. You must make sure that permission exists.
- If you're added to someone else's team, the owner can see your email address, and can change or remove your access at any time.
- Roles and permissions: the owner gives each member a role (Admin, Member or Viewer) and decides, PC by PC, what they may do there. Admins can add and manage Members and Viewers, never with more access than they have themselves. As the owner, you're responsible for what your admins do with that access too. Permissions are enforced by the PC during each session; they don't replace the person at the PC agreeing to a session where that's needed.
- PC history notes: what you write in a PC's notes can be read by its owner and everyone the PC is shared with. Don't put passwords or other secrets in notes. The team's owner can also see, in the activity log, when members connected to the team's PCs and for how long.
7. Commands, files, settings and backups
You're responsible for the results of what you choose to do with RemoteAccessApp, including:
- commands and scripts you run, including one command sent to many PCs or SSH sessions at once, and input mirrored to several PCs;
- files you send, receive, overwrite or delete;
- settings you choose, such as unattended access, trusted networks, clipboard sharing and which PCs and hosts you share.
Commands run with the permissions RemoteAccessApp has on that PC and can change or delete data. Check what you're doing before you do it. You're responsible for keeping your own backups of your PCs, servers and data. We don't back up your PCs or the data on them.
8. AI assistants and automation
RemoteAccessApp Pro includes an integration that lets an AI assistant you choose (currently Claude Code, made by Anthropic) use RemoteAccessApp on your behalf, through the RemoteAccessApp MCP server running on your own PC. With it, the assistant can list your PCs, open sessions, see their screens, click and type, run commands on your PCs, and run commands on your saved SSH servers.
- It acts as you. Everything an AI assistant does through RemoteAccessApp is done with your account and counts as your use of the Service under these terms, including sections 3, 4 and 7. You're responsible for what it does, for the instructions you give it and for checking its work, just as if you'd done it yourself.
- AI makes mistakes. An assistant can misunderstand you, act on wrong information, or run commands that change or delete data or settings. Review what it plans to do before you approve it, keep backups, and don't let it work on PCs or systems where a mistake would be unacceptable.
- Consent still applies. The PC's own safeguards don't change: each PC still asks the person there to allow the session (unless unattended access is on) and shows a banner naming the assistant while it's connected. You must have permission under section 3 for everything the assistant does, and you must tell the people who use those PCs that an AI assistant may see their screen and act on the PC.
- You stay in control. The RemoteAccessApp Console shows which PCs the assistant is connected to and what it's doing, and lets you disconnect it, stop what it's running, or turn the integration off entirely.
- The AI provider is a third party. The assistant runs on your PC and sends what it sees and does (which can include screenshots of your PCs, the output of commands and anything shown on screen) to its provider, under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. We don't control the assistant or its provider, we don't receive that data from them, and we're not responsible for their service (see section 12).
- The integration is available on RemoteAccessApp Pro only. It may change as AI tools change, and we may limit or withdraw it if it becomes unsafe or stops working.
9. Plans, billing and renewal
- The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on our website. We may change or stop offering the Free plan. We'll give you reasonable notice first if we can.
- Both plans may be used for personal and commercial purposes. We don't charge extra for business use; the plans differ only in features and limits.
- RemoteAccessApp Pro costs the price shown on our website when you subscribe (currently US$4.99 per month; prices are in US dollars and you're charged in US dollars). It's billed in advance and renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. A Pro license can be used on the number of Console PCs stated in your plan.
- Prices may include, or be subject to, taxes, as shown at checkout. Your bank may charge its own fees, for example for converting currency.
- Payments are processed by Stripe in its secure payment form on our checkout page; we never see your card number. You can update your card, see your invoices or cancel at any time with Manage billing in your dashboard on remoteaccessapp.com.
- If a payment fails, or a license is canceled, refunded, revoked or expires, your account moves to the Free plan's features and limits. You can still sign in and manage your account.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel before the change applies.
- If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer (a chargeback) instead of contacting us, we may suspend Pro features while the dispute is open.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
10. Your data and your content
- You own the content you send through RemoteAccessApp. You give us only the rights we need to run the Service for you: to store, copy, send and display your data as the Service requires.
- Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, including IP addresses and the approximate location we derive from them, why, and how long we keep it, and our Cookie Policy the cookies on our website.
- For a business or organization: if you put other people's personal data into RemoteAccessApp (your team members, the people at the PCs you manage), you're the controller of that data and we process it for you as your processor, under our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms.
- Sessions between the Console and your PCs are end-to-end encrypted, and our relay can't read them. When you use RemoteAccessApp in a web browser, our website acts as your Console and passes the session on to your browser (see the Privacy Policy).
- You're responsible for the content you send, share or store using the Service, and for having the right to do so.
11. Updates, changes and new features
- The apps update themselves automatically with digitally signed releases. By using RemoteAccessApp you agree to these updates. Some may be needed to keep using the Service securely.
- We may change, add or remove features, limits or supported systems at any time. Features marked as beta, preview or new may be incomplete, may change and may be removed.
12. Third-party services
The Service relies on others, such as our hosting provider, our network provider (Cloudflare), our email provider (Resend), our live-chat provider (tawk.to), internet and network providers, Microsoft Windows, our payment provider (Stripe) and, when used, the AI assistant you choose to connect. It also connects to servers and systems you choose, such as your own SSH, FTP, RDP and VNC hosts. We're not responsible for third-party services, their availability or their content, and your use of them is under their own terms.
13. Availability
We work hard to keep RemoteAccessApp running, but we don't promise it will be available at any particular time, uninterrupted, fast, secure or free of errors, or that it will work with every PC, network, device or piece of software. It may be unavailable because of maintenance, faults, attacks, or things outside our control, such as internet or power outages. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
14. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using RemoteAccessApp and close your account at any time: with "Delete my account" in your dashboard where it's offered, or by asking us. Canceling Pro is covered in the Refund Policy.
- We may suspend, restrict or close your account, or refuse access to the Service, at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've broken these terms, your use creates a risk or legal exposure for us, other users or anyone else, it's required by law, or your payment has failed or been disputed.
- We may report suspected illegal activity to the authorities and cooperate with them, as the Privacy Policy explains.
- If we stop offering the Service entirely, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.
- When your account is closed, we delete your account data as described in the Privacy Policy. Some records (such as payment records and security logs) are kept for the periods explained there. Save anything you need before closing your account.
- Sections 2 (ownership and feedback), 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 14 through 20 and any amounts you owe continue after your account ends.
15. No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults. We make no promises or warranties, express or implied, including any about merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, compatibility, or that the Service will meet your needs or be free of errors, viruses or loss of data. You use the Service at your own risk.
Section 19 explains which law applies.
16. No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We have no liability to you or anyone else for any loss, damage, cost or claim of any kind arising from or related to RemoteAccessApp, the Service or these terms, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive, and including any loss of data, profits, revenue, business, goodwill or opportunity, however it arises (including negligence), even if we were told it was possible.
- We are not responsible for any action taken through the Service by you, your team members, anyone using your account, credentials or setup codes, or any AI assistant, including access to any PC or system, commands, scripts, scheduled tasks, updates, installs, restarts, file transfers and settings, or for third-party services or systems or events outside our control.
- Our total liability to you for all claims about the Service is zero (US$0), whether or not you paid for Pro.
This applies whatever the legal basis for the claim, including contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise.
17. Your responsibility to us (indemnity)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us and our owners, staff and contractors against all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) that arise from or relate to:
- your use of the Service, or its use by your team members or anyone using your account;
- accessing, monitoring or controlling any PC or system without proper permission or consent;
- your content, commands, file transfers or settings, including anything an AI assistant does through your account;
- your breach of these terms or of any law, or your infringement of anyone's rights.
We'll tell you about any claim this covers, and you may help us defend it at your own cost. This section doesn't make you responsible for loss we caused.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app, on the website or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using RemoteAccessApp after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and cancel before then. Changes won't apply to a dispute that arose before them.
19. Australian law
These terms are governed by Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law. They don't exclude anything that the Australian Consumer Law says can't be excluded. Where it lets us limit our liability for a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
20. General
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia have jurisdiction.
- Disputes. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the problem informally within 30 days. This doesn't stop either of us seeking urgent relief from a court.
- Export. You must not use or export RemoteAccessApp in breach of export-control or sanctions laws, or if you're a person those laws prohibit us from dealing with.
- Severability. If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it's limited or removed only as much as needed, and the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a right immediately, we don't give it up.
- Assignment. You can't transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours, for example as part of a sale or restructuring of our business, as long as your rights under these terms aren't reduced.
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy (and, for a business or organization, the Data Processing Agreement), are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service, and replace any earlier agreement about it.
- Relationship. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, employment or agency relationship between us.
