Switch from LogMeIn Pro

Switch from LogMeIn Pro to a free plan that never expires

LogMeIn Pro has no free plan, only a 14-day trial, and then a subscription for reaching your own computers.

RemoteAccessApp's free plan never runs out: 5 PCs and 5 saved hosts for personal and work use, with unattended access, browser access and server tools, and no card.

  • Free plan, not a trial
  • Unattended and browser access
  • Work use included

Fed up with LogMeIn Pro? Here's what changes

  • A trial, not a free plan

With LogMeIn Pro: LogMeIn Pro is a paid service; GoTo offers a 14-day free trial.

With RemoteAccessApp: RemoteAccessApp's free plan stays free: 5 PCs and 5 saved hosts, for personal and work use, with no card. Work use on the free plan is also what switching from AnyDesk is about.

  • The same fix, PC by PC

With LogMeIn Pro: Running one command on several PCs usually means opening each of them in turn.

With RemoteAccessApp: Pick several PCs and run one command on all of them, with each PC's output and exit code, free. The ScreenConnect comparison looks at the same feature for small IT teams.

  • Another app for your servers

With LogMeIn Pro: Remote access to your computers doesn't cover SSH and SFTP to your servers.

With RemoteAccessApp: SSH tabs, SFTP and FTP file managers, server-to-server copies, RDP and VNC in the same app.

More reasons to switch

  • A free plan that stays free

5 PCs and 5 saved hosts, 3 open at once, for personal and commercial use, with no card and no session time limit. Pro adds more when you need it. It's hosted for you too, so there's no server to set up, as switching from RustDesk explains.

  • Remote support with consent

Help other people too: they click Allow, and a banner with chat, view-only and quit stays on their screen. Set their PC up once and skip the new code each time, as switching from Quick Assist shows. Remote support.

  • Commands and Windows tools

PowerShell or Command Prompt on a PC, one command on many PCs, and processes, services and the Event Log side by side, free. Switching from Chrome Remote Desktop shows how these tools add to sharing a screen.

  • Servers in the same app

SSH terminal tabs, SFTP and FTP file managers, server-to-server copies, and saved RDP and VNC connections.

What carries over, what doesn't and tips for each kind of tool are in the switching guide.

  1. Step 1: Create a free RemoteAccessApp account

Sign up with your email. No card is needed, and the free plan covers 5 PCs.

  2. Step 2: Install RemoteAccessApp on each PC you want to reach

Download the installer, choose Set up this PC and sign in, or type the 6-digit setup code from Add a PC on your dashboard. It installs without administrator rights, next to LogMeIn Pro.

  3. Step 3: Turn on unattended access on your own PCs

If nobody will be at a PC when you connect, switch on unattended access at that PC (right-click the RemoteAccessApp icon in the taskbar tray). How to do it safely.

  4. Step 4: Connect from the app or a browser

Open the RemoteAccessApp Console on your own PC, or sign in at remoteaccessapp.com in any browser, and try each PC while you still have the old tool as a fallback.

  5. Step 5: Wind down the old service

When every PC works, remove the old host software you don't use from Settings > Apps > Installed apps, and check its account so nothing renews that you no longer want.
