Switch from AnyDesk
Switch from AnyDesk to RemoteAccessApp, free for work too
AnyDesk Free is for personal, non-commercial use, and its terms let AnyDesk suspend free use if it suspects you're using it for work. If remote access is part of your job, that's a risk you don't need.
RemoteAccessApp's free plan covers 5 Windows PCs for personal and work use, with unattended access, a browser option for phones and Macs, and an SSH, SFTP, RDP and VNC toolkit.
- Work use on the free plan
- Open PCs from any browser
- SSH and SFTP built in
Fed up with AnyDesk? Here's what changes
Free is personal use only
With AnyDesk: AnyDesk's terms limit AnyDesk Free to personal and non-commercial use.
With RemoteAccessApp: RemoteAccessApp's free plan covers personal and commercial use for 5 PCs and 5 saved hosts.
Free use can be suspended
With AnyDesk: The same terms say AnyDesk may analyze usage data and suspend free use if it suspects commercial use.
With RemoteAccessApp: Work use is allowed, so there's nothing to suspend, and sessions have no time limit. Switching from Chrome Remote Desktop covers the same open-ended sessions.
Another app for your servers
With AnyDesk: Remote desktop is one window; SSH, SFTP and RDP usually mean more apps, more passwords and more updates.
With RemoteAccessApp: SSH tabs, SFTP and FTP file managers, server-to-server copies, RDP and VNC sit next to your PCs, free.
More reasons to switch
Work use is free
Up to 5 PCs and 5 saved hosts, 3 open at once, for personal and commercial use. Pro removes the limits when you outgrow them. Until then the free plan doesn't expire, as switching from LogMeIn Pro explains.
A browser is enough to connect
Open your PCs at remoteaccessapp.com from a Mac, a Chromebook, a phone or a tablet, with nothing to install on the device you're holding. Browser access comes with every plan, as switching from NoMachine notes.
Servers in the same window
SSH terminal tabs, SFTP and FTP file managers, server-to-server copies, and saved RDP and VNC connections next to your PCs.
Commands on many PCs, free
Open PowerShell or Command Prompt during a session, or run one command on several PCs and see each one's output and exit code. Remote console access.
Consent you can see
The PC asks first unless unattended access is on there, and its banner shows during every session, with chat, view-only and quit for the person at the PC. Once a PC is set up, there's no code to read out each time, as switching from Quick Assist shows.

Switch from AnyDesk if
- You want to use remote access for work without paying, for up to 5 PCs.
- You'd like to reach your PCs from a phone or Mac browser.
- You also manage Linux servers and want SSH, SFTP and server-to-server copies in the same app.
- You want commands on many PCs and Windows tools (processes, services, Event Log) on the free plan. Switching from Parsec covers the same IT tools.
Switch from AnyDesk in 2 minutes
What carries over, what doesn't and tips for each kind of tool are in the switching guide.
Step 1: Create a free RemoteAccessApp account
Sign up with your email. No card is needed, and the free plan covers 5 PCs.
Step 2: Install RemoteAccessApp on each PC you want to reach
Download the installer, choose Set up this PC and sign in, or type the 6-digit setup code from Add a PC on your dashboard. It installs without administrator rights, next to AnyDesk.
Step 3: Turn on unattended access on your own PCs
If nobody will be at a PC when you connect, switch on unattended access at that PC (right-click the RemoteAccessApp icon in the taskbar tray). How to do it safely.
Step 4: Connect from the app or a browser
Open the RemoteAccessApp Console on your own PC, or sign in at remoteaccessapp.com in any browser, and try each PC while you still have the old tool as a fallback.
Step 5: Tidy up afterwards
When every PC is in RemoteAccessApp and works, remove the tools you no longer use from Settings > Apps > Installed apps, and turn off unattended access in any you keep but don't need.
