How to manage multiple computers from one place
Once you look after more than a couple of computers, the hard part isn't fixing them, it's keeping track: which ones are on, which need updates, and getting to the right one quickly. RemoteAccessApp puts them all in one list you can reach from the app, a browser or your phone.
Here's how to set that up, and the everyday jobs it makes easier.
- Every PC in one list
- Commands on many PCs
- Updates on a schedule (Pro)
Updated · Windows 10 and 11 PCs and Linux desktops
Set up your computers in one account
Step 1: Install the Agent on each computer
Download RemoteAccessApp on each Windows 10 or 11 PC, or install the Linux Agent on a Linux desktop. It's the same free download for every PC. See Download.
Step 2: Add each PC to your account
Sign in on each PC, or add it with the 6-digit setup code from your account. Every PC then appears on the Devices page, with whether it's online, in use or offline.
Step 3: Turn on unattended access where you need it
For PCs you want to reach with nobody there, turn on unattended access at each PC once. The steps are in unattended access on multiple computers.
Step 4: Group them with tags
With Pro, tag PCs in Management, say "office", "reception" or "kids", so jobs and schedules can target a whole group. PCs you tag later join any schedule that targets the tag.
The everyday jobs
- Get to any PC fast: open it from the Devices page, or from the website in any browser. To keep several screens open side by side, see how to remote desktop into multiple computers.
- Do the same thing everywhere: select several PCs and choose Run a command, or open them with mirrored input. See control multiple computers at once.
- See what's wrong without taking over the screen: on Windows PCs, check processes, services, sign-in sessions and the Event Log side by side in the Console.
- Wake a PC that's asleep: Wake-on-LAN through another Windows PC on the same network. See wake a sleeping PC.
- Message everyone at once: the same right-click menu sends a message to several PCs.
Keep them updated on a schedule
Management runs jobs on many Windows PCs at once: a saved script, a restart, or checking for and installing Windows updates, all on the free plan. Pro With Pro, jobs can also run on a schedule, and install, update and remove apps with winget. You always see the exact command and the list of PCs first, every job shows a notice at the PC, and a PC that's off gets the job when it's back, for up to 24 hours. Installing Windows updates needs the Agent to run as administrator on that PC. More in run a script on many PCs. Management isn't available on Linux yet.
Share the work
ProWith Teams, share chosen PCs with other Pro users and give each person a role (Admin, Member or Viewer) and per-PC permissions: view, control, files, Windows tools and commands. The activity log keeps 90 days of sign-ins, sessions and changes, and PC history keeps notes on each machine. See remote IT support for a small team.
How many computers
The free plan covers 5 PCs, with 3 open at once, for personal and work use. Pro removes the limits and adds sound, every monitor, Teams, and Management schedules and app installs. For a deeper look at managing Windows PCs, read how to manage multiple Windows computers remotely.
