Switch from N-able N-sight
Switch from N-able to remote access with nothing to download first
N-able's N-sight and Take Control are built for MSPs and IT teams, with sales-led pricing and a trial. N-able's documentation says technicians get a download viewer prompt when starting a session, and its request-permission setting can allow remote control after the request times out.
RemoteAccessApp connects from any browser with nothing to install, waits for the person at the PC to click Allow, and is free for 5 Windows PCs.
- No viewer to download
- Consent that waits
- Free for 5 PCs
Fed up with N-able N-sight? Here's what changes
A viewer to download
With N-able N-sight: N-able's documentation says you'll get a download viewer prompt when starting a session.
With RemoteAccessApp: Open a PC in any browser with nothing to install, or use the RemoteAccessApp Console on Windows.
Sales-led pricing
With N-able N-sight: N-able offers a trial and asks you to contact sales.
With RemoteAccessApp: Free for 5 PCs and 5 saved hosts, with Pro's price on the website.
Servers need other tools
With N-able N-sight: SSH and SFTP to your Linux servers usually means another app.
With RemoteAccessApp: SSH tabs, SFTP and FTP file managers, server-to-server copies, RDP and VNC in the same app. If you still reach machines over VNC, switching from TightVNC and switching from UltraVNC cover keeping those hosts.
More reasons to switch
Consent by default
An Allow prompt on every PC unless unattended access is on there, denied if nobody answers, and a banner during every session.
Commands on many PCs
Run one command on several PCs, free. The same free commands come up in switching from Zoho Assist.
Scripts and updates
Saved scripts, restarts and Windows updates on many PCs at once for free. With Pro: schedules and winget.
